All this awaits you at the Munich premiere of Rossini’s DIE REISE NACH REIMS in a production by director Dirk Schmeding that is at once clever and absurdly comic.

MACHT THEATER!

On 12 October 2025, it's that time again: MACHT THEATER! – the action day organised by eight Munich theatres with 11 workshops for everyone aged 6 to 99 – will take place.

This year, the Gärtnerplatztheater will once again open its doors for the occasion and clear the stage for the diverse ideas and creativity of the participants.

We offer our warmest congratulations! Our ensemble member Anna Tetruashvili has been awarded the 2026 Arts Promotion Prize in the category »Performing Arts and Dance«.

Since 1965, the Free State has awarded annual Arts Promotion Prizes in the four categories of »Music«, »Visual Arts«, »Performing Arts and Dance« and »Literature«. The prize-winners, who are at the very beginning of their creative careers, are distinguished by their exceptional artistic talent and have demonstrated outstanding achievements.

»With the Arts Promotion Prize, we recognise this special talent and encourage [the prize-winners] to continue on their artistic paths,« said Minister for the Arts Markus Blume.
