Guided Tours

A guided tour of the Gärtnerplatztheater allows you to go one step further than the orchestra pit and take a look behind the scenes of the theater. You will learn interesting facts about the processes that take place behind the scenes and the individual areas of the theater that are responsible for raising the curtain every evening. You will also discover the theater from a new historical perspective and immerse yourself in its more than 150 years of history.

The tour includes visits to the foyers, the auditorium, the orchestra rehearsal room, and, depending on availability, the stage area or rehearsal stages.

PUBLIC TOURS

Public tours take place several times a month. They last approximately 60-70 minutes. The number of participants is limited to 30. The meeting point is 10 minutes before the tour starts at the main entrance, Gärtnerplatz 3. Recommended for ages 6 and over.

Please note that the theater tours are not barrier-free. There are no seating areas during the tour, and there are several flights of stairs to climb. The elevator cannot be used. If you specifically require barrier-free access, please contact us at marketing@gaertnerplatztheater.de.

Group and school tours

In addition to public tours, the Gärtnerplatztheater also offers private group tours. For individual arrangements, please send us an email request in good time. The group rate is €160 for adult and family groups (€200 from January 2026) and €80 for school groups (maximum 25 people).
