Guided tours (approx. 60 - 70 minutes) are available several times a month.

The number of tour participants is limited to 25.
Meeting point and time: 10 minutes before the tour begins at the main entrance, Gärtnerplatz 3
Please note that the theatre tours are not barrier-free.
Group and school tours
Along with the public tours, the Gärtnerplatztheater also offers private group tours. For individual coordination, please enquire by phone in good time. The group rate is €160 for adult and family groups and €80 for school groups (maximum 25 people).
Dates and times for public guided tours are listed in the programme and can be booked via the ticket system.

A tour through the Gärtnerplatztheater allows you to take a step further than simply up to the orchestra pit, and to take a look behind the scenes at the theatre. You’ll learn so many interesting infos about the background processes and the individual areas of the building, which are responsible for the curtain rising as it should every evening. And, you’ll discover the theatre from a new historical perspective and immerse yourself in its more than 150-year history.
The tour includes a visit to the foyer, the auditorium, the orchestra rehearsal hall and, subject to availability, to the stage area or the rehearsal stages.
