After the successful premiere of her opera »Liliom«, Johanna Doderer composed a new work for the stage as a commission for the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz: »Schuberts Reise nach Atzenbrugg«. Along with the famous Austrian poet Peter Turrini, she has created a gentle, sensuous work about life as an artist – cheerful, unfathomable and melancholy, in the Schubertian sense.
