Paul Schallweg's and Friedrich Meyer's Opern auf Bayrisch are also going on their travels and have found a new yet familiar home in the Prinzregententheater. After over 25 years, the ensemble is returning to the Prinzregententheater in April 2013 with Der Ring in einem Aufwasch [The Ring in One Go] – the Bavarian parody of the famous original by Richard Wagner – to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of the composer. Popular Bavarian actors such as Conny Glogger, Gerd Anthoff and Michael Lerchenberg, together with the conductor Andreas Kowalewitz and the percussionist Werner Hofmeister, present the great Bavarian take on world-famous operas with wit, irony and charm.
