MUT

In 2017, artists aged between 18 and 27 are now called upon for the second time to present their talent for singing and acting before an international specialist jury and the public and to compete for a 1st prize (€3,000), a 2nd prize (€2,000) and a 3rd prize (€1,000) plus a media prize and an audience prize worth €1,000 each, which will be awarded at the end of the final concert.

The specialist jury is made up of outstanding personalities from the German and international musical theatre scene, including Philip Bröking (Komische Oper Berlin), Adam Cooper (choreographer), Jeff Frohner (conductor), Dagmar Hellberg (singer and actress), Thomas Hermanns (entertainer, author and producer), Alice and Ellen Kessler (show legends), Sona MacDonald (singer and actress), Michael Alexander Rinz (Gärtnerplatztheater), Werner Signer (Theater St. Gallen), Markus Spiegel (music producer and media consultant) and Christian Struppeck (Vereinigte Bühnen Wien). The chairman of the jury will be Artistic Director Josef E Köpplinger.

After heats in Vienna, Berlin and Munich, the semi-final will be held live in Munich before an audience. The competition will conclude with a grand Final Concert with show band.
