Chamber Concerts 2012/13

You can look forward to a special rarity in November: the full clarinet section of the Orchestra of the State Theatre on Gärtnerplatz will be presenting the entire clarinet family. Its members range from the bass clarinet through the basset horn and the "normal" B flat clarinet to the little E flat clarinet, and it covers a total range of five octaves.

Birgit Götz, Rolf Weber, Michael Meinel and Lars Zolling, from Bavaria, Switzerland, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia, show off every facet of the clarinet's characteristic expressiveness – from serious to cheerful, from virtuoso to lyric, from folksy to concert hall.

To match the start of the Carnival season, the evening is entitled:

"Clarinettissimo - Tune in for a clarinettish Carnival"

Concert-goers will be able to visit the permanent and temporary exhibitions for a reduced admission price if they show their concert ticket at the museum ticket desk.
