Anton aus dem Opernhaus

Concert for a young audience

A musical mouse adventure

by Fritz Winter and Hannes Mück
with music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Modest Mussorgsky, Engelbert Humperdinck and more
arranged for three trumpets and three trombones by Hannes Mück

Age recommendation: 6 years and above

The little mouse Anton lives in a church in Munich, where he discovers his love of music. But there's hardly anything for him to eat there, apart from a few dry pretzel crumbs. Besides this, it's too cold for Anton in the long term in the old, damp building, and so he decides to move somewhere else where there's said to be lots of good music too. So he sets off straight away and is just amazed when, after just a short tram ride, he finally arrives at the Gärtnerplatztheater! It's wonderfully warm and comfortable there, and the musical programme is totally to Anton's taste too. He also finds three new friends: Karl the beetle, Mimi the ballet mouse and the canteen manager's cat...

The musical mouse adventure »Anton aus dem Opernhaus« [Anton from the Opera House] by Fritz Winter and Hannes Mück shows that music is something not just for little mice but also for young audiences. Arranged for three trumpets and three trombones, this exciting children's concert presents some of the most famous and most beautiful melodies in the musical theatre repertoire. A fascinating delight for the entire family!
