Uta Sasgen

Uta Sasgen grew up near Munich and received her first lessons from Klaus Holsten (Bavarian State Opera) and Andrea Lieberknecht. She completed her studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich with Paul Meisen and András Adorján and attended master classes with Aurèle Nicolet. She has been a flautist and solo piccolo player in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since 1998. As she is particularly interested in baroque music, she also studied tavers flute with Linde Brunmayr-Tutz and attended master classes with Barthold Kuijken.
