Stefan Schütz
Born in Munich, Stefan Schütz studied in his home city at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater with Helmar Stiehler. After graduating, he moved to Saarbrücken to attend Julius Berger's master class. From 1986 to 1990, he was a permanent member of the Henschel Quartet and studied chamber music at the Cologne Academy of Music with the members of the Amadeus Quartet. As solo cellist in the Klangverwaltung Orchestra under Enoch zu Guttenberg, he has toured Europe's major cities as well as China, the USA, Canada and South America. He has been principal cellist in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since 1988.
