Robert Sailer
Robert Sailer was born in Augsburg. From 1994 to 1999, he studied oboe with Günther Passin at the Munich Academy of Music. In 1996, he won the Cultural Prize of the City of Gersthofen and became solo oboist at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. Robert Sailer has won prizes at national and international competitions. In 2001 he was awarded a scholarship at the Herbert von Karajan Academy in Berlin and was a guest artist with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra for a year. In addition to numerous solo and chamber music performances, Robert Sailer teaches with national youth orchestras and is a regular juror at the “Jugend musiziert” competition. He also teaches courses at home and abroad. In addition to his work as a solo oboist in Munich, he has participated in numerous CD and TV productions and frequently makes guest appearances with renowned orchestras.
