Robert Hilz

After graduating from the Camerloher-Gymnasium in Freising, Robert Hilz studied with Paul Lachenmeir at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich from 1984-1988. From 1987-1993 he was deputy principal trumpet in the Darmstadt State Theater Orchestra. From 1993 to 2018, he was 1st solo trumpeter in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz for 25 years and has been an alternating trumpeter ever since. He has also made guest appearances with the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
