Riccardo Romeo (Gast)
Riccardo Romeo was born in Augsburg to Italian parents and grew up bilingual. In his youth, he sang in various choirs at the Albert Greiner Singing and Music School in Augsburg and in the children's and youth choir of the Augsburg Theatre, and performed as a soloist in several opera productions. Later, he studied singing at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts with Berthold Possemeyer and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris in the class of Yves Sotin. While still a student, he performed at the Nuremberg State Theatre, the Darmstadt State Theatre, the Frankfurt Opera, the Opéra de Saint-Étienne and the Festival dʼAix-en-Provence.
In the 2020/2021 season, Riccardo Romeo was a member of the ensemble at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theatre before becoming a member of the ensemble at the Dresden State Operetta from 2021 to 2024. Since the 2024/2025 season, he has been a member of the soloist ensemble at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, where he has appeared on stage as Spoletta (»Tosca«), Gastone (»La traviata«) and Roderigo (»Otello«), among others.
