Renée Listerdal

Renée Listerdal studied costume design at the Istituto Statale dʼArte in Florence and fashion at the Istituto Secoli in Milan. She has been working as a freelance costume designer since 1992 and has worked at many theatres and opera houses in Europe, including the Semperoper Dresden, the Bavarian State Opera, the National Theatre Weimar, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Thalia Theatre Hamburg, the Akademietheater Vienna, the State Theatre Stuttgart, the Schauspiel Hannover, the State Theatre Kassel, the Landestheater Linz, the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen, the National Theatre Mannheim and for the Wagner Days Budapest. She has enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with Roland Schwab, beginning with »Tiefland« and »Don Giovanni« at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, »La sonnambula«, »Oberst Chabert« and »Ernani« at the Bonn Opera, »Mephistophele« at the Bavarian State Opera and »Don Carlos« at the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken. »Prince Igor« is her first work at the Gärtnerplatztheater.
