Nadja Stefanoff

Nadja Stefanoff, born in Chemnitz, completed her singing training at the University of Music in Dresden and at the Staatsoper Dresden. In 2002, she received 3rd prize at the National Singing Competition in Berlin, followed by the »Orpheum Public Award for Mozart« singing competition in Zurich in 2004.

Initial engagements took her to the Erfurt Theatre and the Pforzheim City Theatre. From 2007 to 2014, she was a member of the ensemble at Bremen Theatre, before moving to the ensemble of the State Theatre in Mainz in 2014/2015.

She has also made guest appearances at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Stuttgart State Opera, the Komische Oper in Berlin, the State Operetta in Dresden and Oper Bonn. She has worked with orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Robert Schumann Philharmonic in Chemnitz and the NDR Radio Philharmonic.

Her repertoire includes roles such as Calbo in Gioachino Rossini's »Maometto II«, Idamante in »Idomeneo«, the title role in »Der Rosenkavalier«, Adalgisa in »Norma«, Judith in Bartók's »Herzog Blaubarts Burg«, Giulietta in »Les Contes dʼHoffmann«, Madame Lidoine in »Dialogues des Carmélites« and the title roles in »Tosca« and »Mèdèe«.
