Max Wagner

The executive director of Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz took up his position on 2 November 2012.

Max Wagner, born in Munich, completed his law degree in Munich and Paris. Subsequently, he studied singing in Dresden and Mainz. After his legal internship in Munich, Max Wagner worked as an attorney and performed as a singer in operas, concerts and recitals.

From December 2005 to the end of 2011, Max Wagner was executive artistic director of the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra. In addition, he is a member of the orchestra's board of governors and director of the Foundation to Promote the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.
