Magdalena Hinterdobler

Magdalena Hinterdobler was born in Straubing and received her education at Munich's Hochschule für Musik und Theater as well as at August Everding Bayerische Theaterakademie. In 2002 she entered Edith Wien's class as a freshman and then continued her studies in the master class of Andreas Schmidt and the Lieder class of Helmut Deutsch.

This young soprano's concert repertoire stretches from baroque music to modernism. Thus she appeared as a soloist with many renowned conductors and orchestras like Munich's Kammerorchester, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Stuttgart Bach-Collegium, the Bamberg Symphonic Orchestra as well as the Munich Radio Orchestra. In the field of Lieder she engages in close collaboration with the pianist Gerold Huber. In 2013, in addition, a CD recording of Wagner's early piano Lieder with Magdalena Hinterdobler appeared under the CPO label.

In operas, her roles include, besides Fiordiligi (»Così fan tutte«) and Pamina (»Die Zauberflöte«) the title role in Mozart's »La finta giardiniera« as well and which she sang in 2011 with the Munich Kammerorchester at Prinzregententheater. Moreover, she appeared in 2012 in Hasse's »Didone abbandonata« with the Munich Hofkapelle under Michael Hofstetter at the Opéra Royal de Versailles and sang with the Munich Radio Orchestra under Ulf Schirmer in Richard Wagner's early work »Das Liebesverbot« in the role of Dorella. In that same role she also made a guest appearance during the 2013/2014 season at Leipzig Opera where she has been an ensemble member since 2014/2015.
