Lorenz C. Aichner

Lorenz C. Aichner, a native of Salzburg, was given piano lessons at the »Mozarteum« Music College for Music and the Performing Arts when he was still a schoolboy. Starting in 1997, he studied conducting, choral directing, composition and voice coaching at the University of Vienna.
After completing his studies he worked in different positions in theatres in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

In 2002 he took on the position of assistant to the Director-General of Music at Erfurt Theater.
In the 2007/2008 season he became deputy chorus director at Hamburgische Staatsoper and from 2008 to 2012 he was first conductor and deputy music director at Theater Hof.

Lorenz C. Aichner made his debut at the Vienna Volksoper in 2012 and has since the 2012/2013 season been conductor there. The selections he has conducted include works like »Die Zauberflöte«, »La bohème«,»Fürst Igor«, »Im weißen Rössl«, »Der Zauberer von Oz«, »Eine Nacht in Venedig« and »Der Mann von La Mancha«.
