Lara de Toscano
Lara de Toscano discovered her passion for the theatre stage as a schoolgirl at the Junges Theater Bonn in numerous musicals. Born in Brazil, she completed her training as a musical performer as a scholarship holder at the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg. She was then engaged for the title role and as Dance Captain in »Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer« at Berlin’s Theater am Kurfürstendamm. She was in the ensembles of »Cabaret«, »The Rocky Horror Show« und »Romeo & Julia – Das Musical« at the Kiel Theatre. Further engagements took her to Lucerne as Shirley in »Saturday Night Fever« and to the Tribe in »Hair« at the Gärtnerplatztheater and then at the Bad Hersfeld Festival. She also slipped into the role of Mary in »Sunset Boulevard« at the Lübeck Theatre and played, among other roles, Consuelo in various productions of »West Side Story« at the Wuppertaler Bühnen, the Dortmund Theatre, the Salzburg Festival and at the Magdeburg Domplatz Open Air, where she also appeared as Mona in »Chicago« on the open-air stage in front of the cathedral. Most recently she was seen as Aman in the world premiere of »Wüstenblume« at the Theater St. Gallen.
