Katarzyna Woznica
Katarzyna Woznica comes from Wroclaw, Poland. She received her first violin lessons from her father at the age of seven. From 2001-2005 she studied with Jaroslaw Pietrzak at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw and then came to Germany, where she continued her studies at the Academy of Music in Freiburg in the class of Latica Honda-Rosenberg. She gained orchestral experience in the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg. From 2008-2010 she was a scholarship holder of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra Academy. She was a finalist in the international competition “Modern Music - Penderecki Competition” in Krakow and in the international violin competition of the “Jeunesses Musicales” in Bucharest. She has played 1st violin in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since 2010.
