Josephine Renelt

Born in Munich, Josephine Renelt initially studied with Maria Cristina Orsolato in Verona and has been receiving lessons from Andreas Schmidt at Munich University of Music and Drama since 2010. She has also been a student in Helmut Deutsch's 'Lieder' class since 2013. In addition, she has also taken part in various master courses, including classes with Siegfried Mauser and Daphne Evangelatos. She has played a number of roles in productions by the August Everding Bavarian Theatre Academy, including Clomiri (in »Imeneo«) and Chrysis (in »Aphrodite«). In 2013, she appeared in the Pasinger Fabrik in the role of Anna Reich in »Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor«, and in 2014 she took on the part of Cecilia in »Alexander’s Feast«. At the Bayerische Staatsoper, she was the Second Soprano in »Jephta’s Daughter« during the 2014/2015 season.
