Javier Ubell

Javier Ubell received his training as a dancer at the School of American Ballet in the USA and was then taken on by the Oregon Ballet Theatre, where he rose to the position of soloist in 2011. Here, he danced in works choreographed by William Forsythe (»The Second Detail«), Nicolo Fonte (»Petruschka«), Jerome Robbins (»The Concert«), George Balanchine (»The Four Temperaments«, »Square Dance« etc.), Christopher Stowell (»Carmen«, »Dornröschen«, »Echo« etc.) and others. From 2011, he also taught at the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre. In addition, he made guest appearances with the Georgia State Ballet in August Bournonville's »From Siberia to Moscow« and with the Staten Island Ballet in Ellen Tharp's »For My Mother« and Walter Rutlege's »Les Demoiselles d’Avignon«. Javier Ubell was a member of the ballet of Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz from the 2013/2014 till the 2018/2019 season and danced the nephew in »Schlagobers« as well as the solo »Cry Boy« in »Hattrick«, which Marco Goecke created for him.
