Isaac Galán
Isaac Galán was born in Saragossa. He began his singing studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música and continued at the Reina-Sofía College of Music under the guidance of Teresa Berganza, Tom Krause and Manuel Cid. He completed his further training at the Opera Studio of the Zurich Opera House. After this, he took part in a number of competitions and won several prizes, including the »International Singing Contest Francisco Viñas« and the »Manuel Ausensi Singing Competition«. In Montreal, he won the audience price at the »Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques«.
At the beginning of his career, Isaac Galán worked as a soloist at the Landestheater Linz, appearing in such roles as Figaro (»Il barbieredi Siviglia«), Conte Almaviva (»Le nozze di Figaro«), Lescaut (»Manon«), Testo (»Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda«), Papageno (»Die Zauberflöte«) and Malatesta (»DonPasquale«).
Since then, he has appeared as a guest at opera houses such as the Teatro Real Madrid, the Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, the Opéra National de Montpellier, the Palau de les Arts Valencia, the Manoel-Theater Malta and at the Salzburg Pentecost Festival.
As a soloist, he has worked with conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Ivor Bolton and Andrea Battistoni and directors such as Krzysztof Warlikowski, Christoph Marthaler, Vicent Boussard and Olivier Tambosi.
As a concert singer, Isaac Galán has appeared on the stage of the Auditorio in Saragossa, the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid and the Auditorio Baluarte in Pamplona, among others, with orchestras such as the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire and the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid.
