Caspar Krieger
The young tenor Caspar Krieger received his first singing lessons at the Berlin Chanson School with Arnold Krohne. After graduating from high school in Berlin, he studied singing at the Musikhochschule Lübeck with Espen Fegran. Further studies took him to the Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini Florence with Leonardo De Lisi and to the Theaterakademie August Everding Munich with Julian Prégardien. In 2019 he changed his voice from baritone to tenor. He attended master classes with Caroll Freeman, Jane Henschel, Carola Schlüter and Ton Koopman. As part of his training, he performed regularly in concerts and university productions, including as Dr. Falke in »Die Fledermaus« and in a pastiche of Goethe’s »Faust« directed by Jürgen Weber. He also gained stage experience as Papageno and Monostatos (»Die Zauberflöte«) at the Lübeck Summer Operetta, as Monostatos at the Oper-Oder-Spree Music Festival and as Brühlmann (»Werther«) at the Lübeck Theatre. Caspar Krieger has been an ensemble member of the Gärtnerplatztheater since the 2021/2022 season.
