Helmut Schleich

Helmut Schleich from Munich is one of Germany’s cabaret greats. He has been performing on stage for almost 40 years. With »SchleichFernsehen«, he was the protagonist and host of his own satirical programme on Bavarian television from 2011 to 2023. On Bayern2 Radio, he takes aim at a current topic every week in »Ende der Welt«, which can be heard on »radioWelt« and »radioSpitzen«. He also writes a weekly column in the »tz« / »Münchner Merkur«, his »Schleichweg« through Munich. In his live programmes on tour, Helmut Schleich takes his audience on adventurous journeys into the depths of the German psyche and incidentally shows them the amusing absurdities of everyday life. His solo programmes have been awarded the »Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis«, the »Bayerischer Kabarettpreis«, the »Salzburger Stier«, the »Leipziger Löwenzahn« and the »Kabarettpreis der Stadt München«, among others.
