Hannes Oblasser

Growing up in Tyrol, Hannes Oblasser decided quite late to pursue a musical career as a trumpeter. After being drafted into the Tyrolean military band in 2000, he began his studies at the Tyrolean State Conservatory with Erich Rinner in the same year and also enrolled for a bachelor's degree at the Mozarteum Salzburg. During this time, he was able to gain experience in numerous youth orchestras and in various chamber music ensembles. Since then, he has worked as a substitute with the St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra Mozart under the direction of Claudio Abbado, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. He is also a member of the brass quintet “munich brass connection” and principal cornetist of the “R.E.T. Brass Band”. Since September 2007, Hannes Oblasser has been a substitute trumpeter in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich.
