Franziska Pertler

Franziska Pertler was born in Munich and attended the Pestalozzi-Gymnasium. After graduating from high school, she studied violin with Urs Stiehler at the Richard Strauss Conservatory and at the same time obtained a degree in sports science at the Technical University of Munich. She then moved to Nachum Erlich at the Karlsruhe University of Music, where she completed her violin studies with distinction. While still a student, Franziska Pertler played as a substitute in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. This was followed by two years in the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg in 2003 and a year in the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne in 2005. She has been a permanent member of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz orchestra since 2006.
