Frank Winkels
Born in the Lower Rhine region of Germany, Frank Winkels graduated in drama in Hamburg. This was followed by a large number of engagements, including Amos Hart (»Chicago«), Corny Collins (»Hairspray«) and Aaron in the first performance of »Moses – Die 10 Gebote« at the St Gallen Theatre, Dave Bukatinsky (»The Full Monty«) in the Amstetten Musical Summer and the Deutsches Theater Munich, Axel Staudach (»Ich war noch niemals in New York«) at the Hamburg Operetta House, Sam and Harry (»Mamma Mia!«) at the Essen Colosseum Theatre, the Beast in »Disneys Die Schöne und das Biest« in the Metronom Theatre Oberhausen, Jamie (»Die letzten 5 Jahre«) at the Capitol Theatre Mannheim and Robert (»Babytalk«) and Harry (»Harry & Sally«) in the Theater am Puls in Schwetzingen. In addition, Frank Winkels is a member of the ensemble of »Heiße Ecke« in Schmidtʼs Tivoli in Hamburg. Alongside his theatre engagements, this versatile artist works on a freelance basis for film, television and radio and in the dubbing industry.
He made his debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater as the Toymaker and Bill Coggins in the first continental performance of »Chitty Chitty Bang Bang«.
