Florian Berger

Born in Rosenheim, Florian Berger studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Hannes Läubin, where he graduated with distinction from the master class after obtaining his pedagogical and artistic diploma. In 1999 he was appointed 1st solo trumpeter at the Stadttheater Aachen, and in 2001 he moved to the same position at the Gärtnerplatztheater. Temporary work has taken him to numerous renowned orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Bavarian State Orchestra. He has also performed as a soloist (including the trumpet concerto by Josef Haydn at the Enoch zu Guttenberg Festival at Herrenchiemsee Castle) and as a chamber musician (e.g. with the Bavaria Brass Soloists) in Germany and abroad. CD, radio and television recordings document the trumpeter's artistic work. In 2014, he was awarded the title “Bavarian Chamber Musician” by the Bavarian State Ministry.
