Double Bass

Eugen Hoesch

Eugen Hoesch was born in Rain am Lech and graduated from the Gabriele-Gymnasium in Eichstätt. After completing his civilian service, he studied double bass with Günter Klaus at the Frankfurt University of Music. He was a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and in 1989 won a prize in the German Music Academy competition for double bass. After a temporary contract at the Frankfurt Opera, he was offered a permanent position in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in 1990. He also plays in various Munich ensembles.
