Erwin Belakowitsch

Erwin Belakowitsch started his career as a soloist with the Vienna Boys' Choir and studied singing at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna. From 2002 to 2006 he was a baritone member of the ensemble at the Ulm Theatre before moving to the South Thuringian State Theatre in Meiningen from 2006 to 2009. He also sang many of the roles in his field as a guest singer, including Marcello in »La bohème« at the Cottbus State Theatre, Freddy in »My Fair Lady« at the Regensburg Theatre, Marius in »Les Misérables« at the Landestheater Innsbruck, Boni in »Die Csárdásfürstin« at the Kassel State Theatre, Leopold in »Im weißen Rössl« at the Münster Theatre and Jan in »Der Bettelstudent« at the Braunschweig State Theatre, the Klagenfurt City Theatre and at the Gärtnerplatztheater. He also made his debut at the Seefestspiele Mörbisch in 2013 with this role. He recorded Franz Schubert's »Die schöne Müllerin« on CD for Gramola Records, and lieder and songs by Walter Jurmann for Orlando Records.
