The orchestras he has conducted include those of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Arena di Verona, as well as the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, I Pomeriggi Musicali, the Sinfonica di Milano and the National Symphony Orchestra of the Radiotelevisione Italiana. His repertoire ranges from the 17th century to avant-garde works of the third millennium.

Among his operatic and oratorio performances are Bizet’s »Carmen« at the Macerata Opera Festival, Rossini’s »La Cenerentola« at theatres in the AsLiCo circuit, Verdi’s »La traviata« with Opera Lombardia and the Rete Lirica delle Marche, and »Aida« at the Teatro Sociale in Como, Rossini’s »Adelaide di Borgogna« at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, and Donizetti’s »L’elisir d’amore« again with Opera Lombardia. These have been complemented by modern revivals of masterpieces such as »I falsi monetary« by Lauro Rossi and Amazilia by Giovanni Pacini at the »Il belcanto ritrovato« festival in Pesaro-Fano, and »La passione di Gesù Cristo signor nostro« by Stanislao Mattei at the Bologna Festival, in addition to the world premiere of »Cronaca di un amore. Callas e Pasolini« by Davide Tramontano at the Teatro Municipale in Piacenza.

His engagement for Rossini’s »Il viaggio a Reims« at the Gärtnerplatztheater is his debut as a conductor in Germany.
