D'Schwuhplattler

D'Schwuhplattler

Conscious of tradition ‒ close to home ‒ gay: for over 25 years, D’Schwuhplattler have been the world’s first association to combine homosexuality and the traditional Burschenplattler. They are not only ambassadors for tolerance and acceptance, but also promote a lively exchange between tradition and queer life. Over the years, what started out as a small group of enthusiastic Munich Plattlers has grown into an association known far beyond the borders of Bavaria. D’Schwuhplattler no longer only perform at queer events, such as Christopher Street Days in Germany and abroad, but also at neighbourhood festivals, charity events and cultural events. After participating in projects at the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Villa Stuck, among others, D’Schwuhplattler make their debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater in »Der Vogelhändler«.
