Dorothea Galler

Dorothea Galler was born in Velden an der Vils. She studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg in Thomas Riebl's class and graduated with honors. She gained her first orchestral experience in the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra. Already during her studies, she had temporary contracts with the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. From January 2005, she was a permanent member of the orchestra of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden before moving to the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in September 2008. Her chamber music activities as a member of various ensembles, such as the “Ladystrings” or “La piccola banda”, have taken Dorothea Galler to concerts and festivals in Germany and throughout Europe as well as on cruise ships in the Middle and Far East and to America.
