Dieter Fischer

The television and theatre actor Dieter Fischer was born in Freising, Upper Bavaria. After completing his acting training in Munich, he made his debut at the Landestheater Niederbayern in Landshut. In 2004, director and author Bernd Fischerauer brought him in front of the camera for the first time for his alpine drama »Apollonia«. Further guest roles in various formats followed until Franz Xaver Bogner wrote the title role in »Kaiser von Schexing« for him. Since 2011, he has been one of the most recognisable faces in the ZDF series »Die Rosenheim-Cops« in his role as Chief Inspector Anton Stadler. He can also be seen regularly on Bavarian television’s »Komödienstadel«.

Dieter Fischer has always remained true to his love of the theatre over the years. He can still be seen as a theatre actor on numerous stages, including the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel and the Metropoltheater in Munich. He also regularly returns to the Landestheater Niederbayern as a guest. In 2005, Dieter Fischer was honoured with the »Kunstförderpreis des Freistaates Bayern«. The Metropol Theatre production »Das Abschiedsdinner«, in which he starred as Antoine, won the »Monica Bleibtreu Prize« in the »Best Comedy« category in Hamburg in 2017. This was followed in 2019 by a nomination for the »Goldene Kamera« with »Die Rosenheim-Cops« and in 2023 he was awarded the »Bayerische Poetentaler der Münchner Turmschreiber«.
