Diana Haller
The Croatian mezzo-soprano Diana Haller studied at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatoire in Trieste, the Royal Academy of Music in London and the State University for Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart. She has received countless prizes and awards, such as First Prize in the 8th International Competition for the Art of Song and was chosen as the up-and-coming singer of the year by the magazine »Opernwelt« in 2013.
After a year in the Opera Studio of the Stuttgart Opera House, Diana Haller was taken on as the youngest member of the ensemble there during the 2010/2011 season. She has appeared there in such roles as Cherubino (»Le nozze di Figaro«), Ruggiero (»Alcina«), Prince Orlofsky (»Die Fledermaus«), Angelina (»La Cenerentola«) and Dorabella (»Così fan tutte«). Guest engagements have taken her, for example, in the title role in Hasse's »Siroe, re di Persia« to the London Handel Festival, as Alberto in Giuseppe Balducci's »Il noce di Benevento« to the »Rossini in Wildbad« Festival and as Ruggiero to the Cologne Opera House and the Semperoper in Dresden. In 2014, she sang the role of Rosina (»Il barbiere di Siviglia«) at the Zagreb National Theatre and appeared as the understudy for Angelina in »La Cenerentola« and Rosina at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. At the Salzburg Festival, she appeared in »Il trovatore« as Ines alongside Anna Netrebko and Placido Domingo and sang in »Cenerentola für Kinder«.
In addition, Diana Haller is also in demand as a concert singer and recitalist. She has sung in such works as Mozart's C Minor Mass and his Requiem under Philippe Herreweghe in Italy, France and Scotland.
