David Valencia

David Valencia trained at the Incolballet in Santiago de Cali in Colombia. Whilst he was still a student, he was awarded second prize in the international »La Habana« ballet festival. After completing his studies, he continued to train in modern dance, ethnic dances, tango, singing and drama. After initial engagements in Lausanne, Chemnitz and Munich, he danced in the ensemble of the Gauthier Dance Company in the Theaterhaus Stuttgart and at the Anhalt Theatre in Dessau. He has been a member of the ballet of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since the 2015/2016 season and created also his own choreographies several times, for example in the Kunstareal München.
