Christian Schödl

Christian Schödl was born in Absam in Tyrol and received his first violin lessons at the age of 7. He completed his studies with Rudolf Kalup at the conservatory in Innsbruck. This was followed by courses with Wolfgang Hock in Gernsbach, Ernö Sebestyen in Munich and Paul Florin in Stuttgart, among others. Christian Schödl is a founding member of the “Rossini-Streichquartetts” and the violin-guitar duo “DieciCorde”. After engagements with the Innsbruck Symphony Orchestra and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, he joined the 1st violin section of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz orchestra in 1983. He was awarded the title of “Kammermusiker” by the Free State of Bavaria for his achievements.
