Bregje van Balen

Bregje van Balen was a dancer with the Netherlands Dance Theatre for 18 years. She then graduated from the Baruch Mode Academie in Amsterdam and designed costumes for the Nederlands Dans Theater, the Hamburg Ballet, the Royal Ballet London, Paris Opéra, Alvin Ailey, the Royal Swedish and Royal Danish Ballet, among others, and worked with choreographers such as Cathy Marston, Alexander Ekman, Emma Portner, Johan Inger, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Felix Landerer, Eyal Dadon, Jorma Elo, Bryan Arias, Mthutizeli November and Jo Strømgren. At the Gärtnerplatz, she created the costumes for »Arsen – Ein Rokokothriller« (Arsenic – A Rococo Thriller), »Salome Tanz« (Salome Dance) and »Der Sturm« (The Tempest).
