Božo Letunić

Božo Letunić is born in Dubrovnik where he graduated primary and high school musical education in Art school Luka Sorkočević, theory and piano in Marija Antić’s class. In 1994 he started studying piano in Zagreb Music Academy in class of Zvjezdana Bašić. He attended masterclasses with known professors such as Alberto Portugheis and Walter Groppenberger. In 1999 Božo Letunić graduated piano in class of Ljubomir Gašparović. From 1999 to 2004 he was teaching piano in Primary music school Ivan Zajc in Zagreb, and from 2004 to 2011 works as accompanist on chatedra for wind instruments and percussion of Pavao Markovac music school in Zagreb where during years he won multiple prizes playing with young music students in Croatia and Europe.

From 2012 Božo Letunić works as vocal coach and accompanist in Singing department of Music Academy in Zagreb where he works in classes of renowned professors, such as Dunja Vejzović, Giorgio Surian Vlatka Oršanić and others. Božo Letunić regularly perfects his craft in masterclasses in Lied interpretation and opera (Cornelis Witthoefft, Silvano Zabeo, Thomas Hampson, Marc Tardue and others).

Outside working in Music Academy, Božo Letunić is permanent associate pianist of Mozartine singing studio in concerts and recordings for Croatian National Radiotelevision, as well as official accompanist for International Singing Competition »Zinka Milanov« and singing masterclasses in Dubrovnik (with Krešimir Stražanac in Summer Festival 2019). With baritone Matija Meić Božo Letunić cooperates in multiple concerts and recording sessions.
