Ava Spahn
The French-Portuguese violinist Ava Spahn studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and passed her artistic diploma examination in Ingolf Turban's class. Since then, she has been completing her master's degree with Linus Roth at the Leopold Mozart Center in Augsburg and in “Historical Performance Practice” with Mary Utiger in Munich. She has played both modern and historical violin in numerous projects with orchestras such as the Hofkapelle München, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, Concerto Copenhagen, L'Accademia Giocosa and the Munich Bach Orchestra. She is also a member of Ivor Bolton's Dresden Festival Orchestra. She has performed at the Bach Festival in Lausanne under the direction of Reinhard Göbel as well as at the Schleswig-Holstein Festival and the Potsdam Music Festival with Dorothee Oberlinger. She has also performed at the Styriarte Festival in Graz, the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music, as a soloist at the Schwetzingen SWR Festival and at the Festival International Echternach in Luxembourg. From 2015 to 2017, she was a member of the Bavarian State Orchestra's Orchestra Academy and has been a member of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz orchestra since 2017.
