Meike Ebert

Video artist Meike Ebert was born in Munich. After studying editing at the Bavarian Academy for Television and Digital Media, she focused on digital video design for theatre. Her artistic language evolved from classic editing techniques and two-dimensional image processing to complex three-dimensional modelling and digital real-time worlds.

Meike Ebert has now been working for renowned theatres in Germany and abroad for over twenty years, developing individual concepts that combine artistic vision and technological innovation. For theatre, opera, dance and musical productions, she creates three-dimensional and moving image worlds that expand the respective stage spaces and visually deepen the stage action. Her designs are created at the interface of video, lighting and spatial design and open up new perspectives on scenic narratives.

Since 2013, she has been working at the Gärtnerplatztheater, where she has created numerous video designs in all areas of musical theatre.
