Puppeteer
Max Konrad
The Austrian actor, voice-over artist, presenter and puppeteer Max Konrad was born in Vienna. He discovered his love of acting whilst performing in »Einer flog über das Kuckucksnest« as part of a theatre project at the Viennese private school »Walz«. He remained true to this passion whilst studying architecture and working as a presenter at classical concerts, until he decided in 2014 to study acting at the Filmacademy in Vienna. Even whilst still a student, he took on a wide variety of roles in short films and on the off-theatre scene. In 2017, following his completion of the joint theatre qualification at the Theater in der Josefstadt and graduating with distinction from drama school, further theatre engagements followed. For his role as Franz Huchel in »Der Trafikant« at the Grenzlandtheater Aachen, he was awarded the 2023 Kurt Sieder Audience Award. Most recently, he has appeared, amongst other roles, at the Stadttheater Berndorf in »Die Nervensäge« and is currently performing as a puppeteer in »Der Barbier von Sevilla« at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, as well as at the Vienna State Opera in »Madama Butterfly« and »Fidelio«. Alongside his theatre work, he has already made several film, TV and advertising appearances, including in »Tatort«.
