Martin Mulders

Born in the Netherlands, Martin Mulders began his musical training at the age of eleven at the Maastricht Conservatory. He completed his preliminary training at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg before graduating in 2011 with a degree in voice, acting, and dance from the Conservatory in Alkmaar/Haarlem. Even during his training, he appeared on stage as Marius in »Les Misérables« and Harry Witherspoon in »Lucky Stiff«.

His artistic career has taken him to renowned stages in the Netherlands and throughout the German-speaking world. Among other roles, he played Freddy (»My Fair Lady«) at the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen, various roles in »Vom Geist der Weihnacht« in Oberhausen, Essen, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, and Cologne, and the Narrator/James in »3 Musketeers« (for which he also designed the costumes), Annas (»Jesus Christ Superstar«) at the Magdeburg Domplatz-Open-Air, Mark in the German-language premiere of »Altar Boyz«, Riff-Raff (»The Rocky Horror Show«) in Dresden, as a soloist in »Pasquale Aleardi: My Grand Prix de la Chanson« at the Tipi am Kanzleramt in Berlin and in »Das Fräulein Wunder« at the Komödie im Marquardt in Stuttgart, as well as Young Scrooge (»Vom Geist der Weihnacht«), Papageno (»Die Zauberflöte ‒ Das Musical«), and Ben Dova (»Zeppelin«) at the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein in Füssen.

Most recently, Martin Mulders appeared as Mary Sunshine (»Chicago«) at the Staatstheater Hannover, as Jacob Marley (»Vom Geist der Weihnacht«) at the Metronom Theater Oberhausen, as a soloist in »I Am What I Am« at the Theater Regensburg, and as an Apostle and Pontius Pilate in »Jesus Christ Superstar« at the Komische Oper at Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport. In addition, he has been writing, performing, and producing award-winning musical theater pieces for LUDIQUE! since 2010. He is currently on tour in the Netherlands and German-speaking countries with »From BERLIN with Love« and »Herzenslieder«.

In May 2026, he made his debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater as part of the ensemble in »Les Misérables«.
