Marta Mizgała
Marta Mizgała was born in Przemyśl (Poland). She began her musical training there at the age of 11 with Maksymilian Lipień (solo oboist at the NOSPR in Katowice) and played in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra as a teenager. After graduating from high school, she studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and supplemented her training with masterclasses with Jonathan Kelly, Jean-Louis Capezzali, Christoph Hartmann, Viola Wilmsen and Dudu Carmel. From 2013 to 2014, she was an academy member of the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra. She has performed as a guest with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, the Bavarian State Opera, the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, among others. She has been principal oboist at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since September 2018. In addition to her orchestral work, she is actively involved in chamber music and leads oboe workshops. She has been a member of the woodwind sextet “Gruppo di Tempera” from Warsaw since 2022.
