Choreography
Frédérick Gravel
Frédérick Gravel is a choreographer, dancer, musician, and lighting designer who challenges the structures of choreographic art by incorporating elements of rock music and performance. An associate creator with DLD since 2010, he was appointed artistic director in 2018. Embracing a truly cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary approach, his productions come to life through close collaboration with dancers, musicians, and other artists from a variety of backgrounds. Both here and abroad, Frédérick Gravel has made a lasting impression with his choreographed concerts and his world of bubbling energy and ironic nonchalance.
His productions »Gravel Works« (2009), »All Hell is Breaking Loose, Honey« (2010), »Usually Beauty Fails« (2012) and »This Duet That We’ve Already Done (so many times)« (2015), »Some Hope for the Bastards« (2017) and »Fear and Greed« (2019) have received great national and international reviews.
