Fleur Snow

Fleur Snow, who was born in Wales, speaks English, Welsh, French, Italian and German. She studied opera directing at the Royal Welsh College of Drama, as well as English and French at the University of Oxford, where she was also an organ scholar at Brasenose College. She has been employed as an assistant director and stage manager at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since 2024. She has also worked in the same capacity at various European theatres, including the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Theater St. Gallen and the Welsh National Opera. In 2023, she was engaged as an ETC fellow at the Göteborgs Stadsteater for the Swedish premiere of Gérard Watkins’ »Du är min nu«. Her own directing credits include Lehár’s »The Merry Widow« (along with the translation and adaptation of the dialogue), Bizet’s »Carmen« and Verdi’s »La traviata« at the Rhosygilwen Summer Opera, as well as Edward Lambert’s chamber opera »The Duchess of Padua« at The Space, London. In her work, she focuses in particular on immersive opera productions in unconventional spaces. With »Bel Canto Me – Sommernachtsträume«, she makes her directorial debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater.
