Austrian Music Theatre Award 2026 for »Waldmeister«
We are delighted to announce that the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz has been awarded the Austrian Music Theatre Prize for the operetta WALDMEISTER, directed by Artistic Director Josef E. Köpplinger!
The Austrian Music Theatre Prize was established in 2012 and was presented in Vienna on 8 September. The prize recognises outstanding achievements in Austria’s opera houses and theatres, as well as across the country’s vibrant festival scene.
The guest performance of the operetta WALDMEISTER at Johann Strauss 2025 Wien won this year’s award in the category »Best Overall Operetta Production«.
