Sparks
Fire creates sparks, and the sparks, in turn, create fire. In the production Sparks, members of the Ballet of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz—who mostly work with internationally renowned artists—create two new, independent evenings, each approximately one hour long. Like sparks from a fire, the individual sequences burst forth, illuminate the world for a few minutes, and then disappear again. Yet in their fleeting existence they are full of life and energy—and who knows which spark will ignite the next fire?
The evening will kick off with a choreography by Wyatt Drew Florin, which can be seen in the entrance foyer from 5.20 pm.
Ariane Roustan’s choreography »These being the concerns« takes place on stage in the form of an installation at the end of the interval.
