Ursula Ens
Ursula Ens was born in Leutkirch in the Allgäu region. Even before leaving school, she studied with Hans Elhorst at the Musikhochschule Freiburg im Breisgau, where she graduated with a degree in instrumental pedagogy. She then continued her artistic training with Fabian Menzel in Frankfurt am Main. She was a national prizewinner in the “Jugend musiziert” competition and played in the Baden-Württemberg state youth orchestra. Ursula Ens was a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra. She was initially principal oboist with the Wernigerode Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and has been second oboist and cor anglais player in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since 2003. Ursula Ens regularly plays in various chamber music ensembles and helps out in other Munich orchestras.
